DIY October Half Term Deal

Sometimes booking with a travel agent is cheaper. Sometimes booking your own holiday is, but one thing is for sure. Booking your own holiday does give you a lot more flexibility & control of your own holiday. But it also comes with some risks too.

This October Half Term self-catering deal comes in at under £150pp based on a family of five including transfers, flights & accommodation. Read on to see how you can package this up yourself.

STEP ONE : Easyjet Flights £29 return, London Luton to Barcelona. October Half term dates for some parts of the country including Leicester. Found via Skyscanner.

Or book a stay in a hotel. Use my TripAdvisor hack to get the best price. Searching with TripAdvisor has often given me a better deal than going direct to booking sites like Expedia, or Hotels.com.

STEP THREE : Remember that booking your own holiday will leave you with out ATOL protection. Ensure that your travel insurance covers you for all eventualities, since many don’t cover flight cancellations or strikes as standard.

STEP FOUR : Then remember to add on the “extras” like airport transfers, airport parking & allow for food expenses.
